3 out of 5 stars Writers Strike Hurt This Season...    January 9, 2009
Red Head
Overall the story line was good and the acting by main characters as always was wonderful. Everything before and after the writers strike is the wicked awesome Smallville we all know and love. However you can tell exactly which episode the writers strike hit. In the middle of the season the show just dies. It is painful to watch those episodes. The plots are poorly connected, important details are just left out, and the dialog just looses something. However, if you watch the deleted scenes it saves some episodes by filling in essencial details that for unknown reasons did not make their way into the episode itself. And then just as suddenly as it started the show recovers and manages to save itself in the last two episodes. I can only assume that is when the strike ended and the people who actually know how to put a show together came back into the picture. Anyway if you are a Smallville lover it is a must see for the begining and end episodes but the middle is a total loss. If you are not a major fan of the show I'd skip buying this one.

5 out of 5 stars Another interesting year of mythology.    January 8, 2009

Smallville Season Seven is one of the few series that is able to convince me in terms of entertainement, special effects and story arc , in spite of the writers strike.

The special effects improve from season to season and in season seven have reached a new hallmark for Smallville. Sadly, Season Eight got its budget cut and chances are slim that special effects will be as convincing as in season seven.

There is also some new background music playing, especially during the first couple of episodes that deal with the introduction of Clark`s cousin Kara Kent, which gives the show an ulterior mythical atmosphere.

Packaging is the same as S5 and S6, digipack with overlapping discs.
The item I purchased arrived on time and everything from the packaging to the discs was in excellent condition. Thank you tvboxset.com for your immaculate service :-)

Seriously this is one of the best shows on tv period. Tom welling does a great job portraying a young superman and what would it be without Lex. Great season as usual and its just gets better and better. And i'm loving cloe and louis lane. Aqua man was awesome. Great addition to any collection.

This was a gift for my husband. He watched seasons 1-7 in less than a month. Not to mention I found the best prices ever here on TvBoxset.
