3 out of 5 stars Different that other workouts    December 30, 2008
Cindy S. (Mt. Cobb, PA USA)
I got this DVD so that I could get a better handle on Pilates. I have a few DVDs that I use regularly and wanted something a little more low key. I have only worked through the beginner routines and they seem a little too easy, even for uncoordinated me. I will try the intermediate level next time, in hopes of a better workout. The intstruction is easy to follow, though you do have to see the TV screen in order to follow along. My screen sits up high in the bedroom, so I had to relocate to the living room. The instructors' voice and manner of speaking is a little too much to take at times. If I could mute the volume and continue the workout, it would make me happier.

5 out of 5 stars great tape    December 16, 2008

made my back stronger and able to bend with flexibility.
My abs and tummy were flat in six weeks...love this tape and will recommend to others to try.

3 out of 5 stars ok    December 13, 2008
Sonya Pekar (Pa)
I was a little disappointed in how slow the video was because it says it's for "weight loss"...I thought it might have more cardio involved. I have only done one other video with Pilates and was more aerobic so I would consider myself a beginner but didn't find the moves complicated. I am also very overweight so it can really be done by anyone. The video quality seemed very low budget. I gave the video a 3 because I felt well stretched and relax afterwards. I was ready to do a more intense work out after so I guess its not totally useless.

5 out of 5 stars Great Pilates DVD    December 11, 2008

There is lots of variety on the DVD. All I did on the beginner section was the instruction section. The routines were not quite challenging enough for me so I moved to intermediate. I'm going to be here for awhile, which is great because I still have the advanced workouts to look forward to. I really like that each level has an instruction section so you can learn how to do the routines and then when you get to the workouts the instructor cues you but there isn't the minutes wasted telling you exactly what to do and demoing it all the way through. It makes it flow well and I feel like I get more of a workout then with other Pilates DVDs I've used.

5 out of 5 stars Love It    November 8, 2008

I enjoy the workouts in this program so much that I even take it with me when I travel. The beginner level is great for those new to working out or just new to Pilates to get familiar with the exercise. I've been doing the Intermediate level for about a year and I occasionally challenge myself with the harder level, but the intermediate routines are still providing benefits. The instruction is clear and well thought out. The "arm weight series" sections included in some of the routines have been as effective for me as my old standard upper body weight workouts. If you want a Pilates program that won't have you looking for something in a month, and one that isn't a hybrid of pilates based whatever, this is a perfect choice.
