Christianity's Prophecies for Jews and Muslims. August 16, 2010 I Love Yahweh Yeshua Christ! (Brooklyn, New York) Waiting for Armageddon is a great documentary that follows Christians going to the Holy Lands and experiencing the Holy Bible's History and the Holy Bible's Prophecies to come. This documentary have four sections like the Four Gospels in the Holy Bible. The first section is: (1)The Rapture and how close it is to happen for Christians ONLY to be Caught Up in the Rapture. Yahweh Jesus HaMashiach have Mercy on me and Please have me Rapture Up to meet you in the clouds. The Second section is: (2)The Tribulation which have History of the Jews, Jews' current problems with the Muslims, Jews' Prophecies to come, the AntiChrist and of course anything that is Against Yahweh Jesus/Yeshua Christ is AntiChrist like the Muslim Religion is AntiChrist. I have to say that the Muslims need to apologize to the Jews and have the Jews build their New Temple where the Dome of the Rock is destroying the Dome of the Rock of course. The Third section is: (3)Armageddon which will be like all the major wars and even the lesser wars all happen at once. I like and agree with what Pastor John Hagee said between 1:03:57 to 1:07:15. The Fourth section is: (4)The Millennium have to do with cleaning the physical earth and a Thousand Years of Love, Peace, Joy and NO Death with the Lord Jesus Christ/Yahweh Yeshua HaMashiach.
Some may not get the point of this movie August 2, 2010 Diane C. Moos (Seaside, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I came from a pre-Trib Rapture background and heard many, many sermons and conversations exactly like the ones shown on this video. In fact, it all seemed so familiar to me that at first I thought I was watching a pro-Rapture video put out by my former church. The lack of narrator is this video's strength. If there had been commentary or explanations the Rapturists would have something to critique but since the video consists of mostly their own words, there's nothing they can complain about and MIGHT, just might, lead to some soul-searching.
This movie is so bad, it's unbelievable July 4, 2010 Shadow mage (Holodrum) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I waited for this movie to come to DVD for weeks, expecting a 'For the Bible tells me so', but when it did, it was a total let down, I'll explain.
This movie, as most of you already know, is supposed to be about faith nuts that believe the world is coming to an end very soon. It's not. This movie isn't about anything, the film crew just follows around some people, they talk at the camera, they show pictures of Israel, then they follow around more people. Kate Davis, and the rest of the crew, are never on camera, and there is no narrator, so you don't really know what the heck is going on. It just shows some woman talking about her faith, no questions asked as to why she believes these things, and moves on from there. So, it seems at many points, like there are no points, you can watch the same thing for free on EWTN! At times, I thought I was watching a Zionist movie!
Another problem is that they only talk about the christian end of the world theory. They never talk to pagans, muslims, Bible code believers or 2012 believers. That would have made this great to watch again in 2013.
The lack of a narrator is this movie's biggest failing point. If you want a better movie, watch Religulous while you wait for God in the box to come to DVD. Thanks for reading.
Still Waiting for a First-Rate Armageddon Film June 17, 2010 Ben J Korgen 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
The "Waiting for Armageddon" documentary film suggests the world will end soon and those who adopt an "I accept" version of evangelism will suddenly lift off from the earth and rise into heaven.
This film is not convincing. If it was, people might be wise to drop their present jobs and advise their children to quit studying. This would give them more time to get ready to rise into heaven when the world ends.
Humans now face 30 to 40 big problems. They include global warming, storm intensification, ocean acidification, desertification and shortages of clean freshwater. They also include overpopulation, kidnapping for prostitution and rampant use of mind-altering substances.
If this film was convincing, it would be counterproductive. It would encourage billions to join "I accept" religions offering a ticket to heaven without needs to solve our big problems. It would discourage young people from building the backgrounds they would need to solve big problems in the future.
Discriminating viewers who agree the world might end someday are likely to recognize the lack of evidence for when this might happen.
As long as this evidence is not forthcoming, the "I accept" people should believe whatever they want to. They also should avoid trumpeting their views too loudly. They could inhibit our problem-solving capacity in case the world ends in several hundred million years.
Parade of Fools June 6, 2010 ShriDurga 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
It's hard to feel anything but pity or contempt for the people featured in this film, middle-class white Americans who imagine Jesus - the "prince of peace" - coming back to start a war to sort out the righteous from the evil. Some of them even look forward to the mayhem and destruction.
If the end of the world were near - near enough, as one mother says, that her child won't live to graduate secondary school - would you go to the office to earn the money to pay your mortgage? Would you be on a speaking tour to rally support for Israel? Would you be attending biblical conferences to promote your latest book?
If the people in this film took their ideas seriously, they'd have sold the home, erased the manuscript, dissolved the politcal organization. If Yaweh has it all planned, if it's all there in his mind as reveleaed in the holy book, then what you do won't affect the outcome.
What's regrettable is that this belief in a divinely appointed war-to-end-all-wars, if held by people with appropriate leverage on the levers of power, might be self-fulfilling. May this film be a warning to the world about this misanthropic strand of American religion and a reminder to those of us who already know about it that mild-mannered, well-intentioned fools may live right next door.
