My husband said that he has never received such a great gift. He sits on the couch downstairs and roars with laughter. He laughs so loud that I can hear him when I am in a closed room upstairs. He has been watching reruns on tv for the last couple of months. When I found the DVD set on TvBoxset I knew this would be a perfect gift for him. We lay in bed together each night and say that we will watch one episode and end up watching a whole DVD. This is a great gift for a hard to buy for man and all women will enjoy it as well. This is kind of like Sex in the city for men.

It's a fantastic series, written so well you'll never know what's going to be said next but you'll still feel like you know and have known the characters for ages.

Acting is perfect - when america tried to remake the series over here, they took the scripts nearly word for word... and failed utterly - you need these charming and charismatic actors to make each role work, each ridiculous and insane scene and line to be delivered perfectly believably and without ruining the connection you have with each.

Patrick is utterly reprehensible and yet you love him, he's *adorably* and *charmingly* reprehensible - unless you can act that role spot on - it's a character who can only go horribly wrong... but he pulls it off every time perfectly, you never dislike him. Instead, acted this well - Patrick could be explaining to you how he just seduced your mother - and you'd just think to yourself "ah, I just bet she had a grand time too..."

And that's arguably the least developed character of the series =)

Just brilliantly done - enjoy!

The price may seem high for a series with so few episodes in it (at least compared to the typical American season), but when you consider the number of laughs per episode it is a real bargain! This series is one of the funniest I have ever seen and with each viewing I find more things to love.

A friend first turned me on to this British SitCom a few years ago, and ever since I have been keeping my eye out for DVD copies of this show. When I saw another episode appear on BBC On Demand, I had to have the whole series!
A witty, smart, and sexy comedy series with a decidedly British flair, I would dub this the "Brittish Friends" and highly recommend this to anyone who is, has been, or plans on being in a relationship. However, it is definately not PG, so wait until the kids go to bed to watch this one...and perhaps shut the door to the living room, because if you're like me, you'll be laughing until you cry!

I love this funny and often hedious TV series. They last about 30 minutes each and are fun to watch in the evening when I don't have time for a full 1.5 hr movie. A little pricey, but I would still highly recommend it to anyone.
