Customer Reviews: Read 244 more reviews... vamps kick it! November 19, 2008Mark Twain (Reno, NV, USA) pretty sweet movie! funny and sort of scary if your a child. just don't get the 2nd one it's the worst Two hours I'll never get back November 3, 2008Joe Snow (Seattle, WA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful My girlfriend made me watch this movie. Halfway through I was fantasizing about Corey Feldman staking me through the heart just to end the agony. Horrible acting, cheesey dialog, half baked delivery, and worse, it's not remotely funny or cool. Except for Corey Haim's clothes. Those are funny. Sleep all day! Party all night! October 8, 2008Slimyboy (Miami, Fl) THE LOST BOYS is not a comedy yet has many comedy aspects. This film never took itself too seriously but it didn't make fun of itself either. The scary moments, when they come, convey the real horror of life and death without mocking it. The Lost Boys along with a few Vampire Films from the 80's helped establish what we view as the modern Vampire. This film was written by Janice Fischer, James Jeremias and Jeffrey Boam. Directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Jason Patric, Brooke McCarter and Dianne Wiest. A mother takes her 2 sons to California to move in with her father after her recent divorce. The oldest son makes friends with the wrong crowd and the younger makes friends with a couple boys claiming to be Vampire Hunters. Strange murders are happening around the area and the oldest brother learns that he might have been transformed to a vampire by his new found friends. The younger brother must now try and save him along with his new Vampire studying friends. The Lost Boys is a must watch for any horror fan, a Cult Classic! we all know that Vampires Sleep all Day and Party all night! What A Classic !!! September 27, 2008PaulP (Elizabeth NJ USA) WOW! loved the Bluray Quality !! It's a Must-have for any Bluray owner! Huge upgrade from DVD quality. Bluray Review not movie review September 9, 2008Consumer Reports Junkie (Bartlett, IL) First of all I have to say this is one of the best transfers to bluray I have seen for an 80's movie. Trust me i have seen/own some subpar ones like T2 and Total Recall. I put this movie in and watched it on my 65 plasma and my wife thought it was a newer movie just released thats how good the picture is. I also showed this to some of my friends and they also admitted that the quality on this was jaw dropping for such an old movie. If you like the movie and want to upgrade to a better quality then don't hesitate to buy this one you won't regret it. Also to note those who say the blu ray version is subpar you might wanna adjust your HD settings to make sure you are getting the most out of it. I had my TV on the factory settings and the picture quality on my blurays were pretty disappointing it wasn't until I started reading some of these reviews that I realized the factory settings were not getting the most out of the HD experience. | |||||||||||
